The Psychotherapy Institute of Back Bay offers a one-year post-graduate fellowship in adult and couples psychodynamic psychotherapy. This 15-20 hour per week training opportunity is focused on developing skills in psychodynamic clinical practice as well as a foundation in the creation and administration of a private practice. An optional second year of training is available on a case-by-case basis.
Those interested in applying for the Fellowship must plan to complete their academic graduate degree and have license eligibility in their discipline prior to beginning the fellowship in September. Fellowship clinical and supervision hours can be applied towards LICSW licensure requirements.
Applications for the 2023-2024 training year will be considered beginning February 1, 2023.

Marina Kovarsky, LICSW
Co-Founder and Co-Director of Training
Marina is a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst in private practice in Boston’s Back Bay. She is on the faculty at Psychodynamic Couples and Families Institute of New England (PCFINE) and Boston College School for Social Work.
David Raniere, PhD
Co-Director of Training
David is a Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst in private practice in Framingham, MA. He serves on the faculty of the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis and at William James College. David has previously held leadership roles in clinical services, training, and management at the Boston Institute for Psychotherapy, Two Brattle Center, and the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis.
Marcy Kerr Yuknat, PsyD
Co-Founder and Program Director
In addition to her work at PIBB, Marcy is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in the Back Bay where she sees adults for psychodynamic psychotherapy and provides clinical supervision and consultation. She is active in non-profit work targeting a variety of systemic and social issues that impact mental health at the individual and societal levels.
